Store your barrel in a cool, relatively humid area away from direct sunlight. Keeping it filled is ideal, but if storing it empty, ensure it’s thoroughly rinsed, and remove the spigot and bung to allow airflow.

We recommend tasting your bourbon every 2-4 weeks to monitor its flavor development. Most people find their desired taste profile between 6-10 weeks.

Yes, our barrels can be reused up to three times. Each reuse will add new layers of flavor, though aging may take longer with each fill.

The “Angel’s Share” refers to the natural evaporation of alcohol and water from the barrel during aging, which slightly reduces volume and proof over time.

Rinse the barrel with clean water and sanitize it with a Barolkleen solution. After rinsing, a solution of Sulphite Crystals and Citric Acid can be used to neutralize any remaining residues.
